It’s been a very long time since I wrote anything new for you all, and I’m glad to be back writing for you again. 2020 hit us all hard, but it gave me time to reevaluate a lot of things, and coming back to this blog is one of the things on my list. And for my first post of 2021 it’s only fitting to remind you of some important tax deadlines to help you get off to a good start.
It’s coming to the end of January and by now you should be all getting ready to get your taxes done. Last year the tax system and deadlines were haywire, there are still many filers out there that have not received their returns, but don’t worry as long as it’s filed, you will get it.
This year the federal tax deadlines should not be changing, so here are the dates you need to know.
January 31, 2021 – All 1099, W2 to be filed with the IRS after which you can start mailing or emailing to your contractors or employees.
If you do payroll tax your 940 FUTA should be filed by this date.
March 16, 2021 – If you are an S-Corp or Partnership this is the deadline to file your corporation taxes.
April 15, 2021 – Deadline to file your income tax, C-Corp taxes, sole proprietor, LLC are all due on this date.
That’s all for now. And hope 2021 is going to be a great and prosperous year.
