As a transcriber who works independently I sometimes have the need to change the format of audio files. In my search to find something that is quick, I have found a little gem of a site where you can change audio files on-line without having to download any software onto your computer, something which a lot of us don’t like to do including me.

Media.io is a site where you just go on-line, upload the file you want to convert, and then download the file in the format you need, such as an mp3 and save it. This is great and the audio quality is not diminished.

So the next time you have an audio file sent to you by a client and your transcription software won’t play it then try the Media.io site, I’m sure you will save it on your favorite list.
